Silencio - A Tribute to the Works of David Lynch & Angelo Badalamenti
SILENCIO performs selections from all of David Lynch’s films spanning “Eraserhead” to “Inland Empire, with a focus on the works from the “Twin Peaks” series and “Fire Walk With Me”. The group’s original material seamlessly intersperses throughout the movie material and fits the occasion as if it were written as outtakes from some of Badalamenti’s “Lynch-iest” sessions. If there were ever a group to perform for an event and capture the vibe of a “damn fine cup of coffee”, cherry pie and wind through the Douglas Firs, then SILENCIO is surely that group.
uh hi, who wants to go with me.
went to pick something up from joe’s house last night and this is what i found. awesome.
richard breymer took behind the scenes photos on the set of twin peaks. they’re awesome. the click-through takes you to the gallery.
this is like a “damn fine cup of coffee”/”the owls are not what they seem” hybrid. mind blown.
did you notice what was pinned to it?
a blue rose.
very good, but i can’t tell you about that.
100% ridiculous: i didn’t realize that richard breymer who played ben horne in twin peaks is the same richard breymer who played tony in west side story. whaaaat.
finally finished twin peaks last night! so awesome. i feel slightly unfulfilled though, so i can’t wait to watch all the special features and see ‘fire walk with me’.
mmm, finishing twin peaks tonight. getting donuts first. happy death day, laura palmer.
only two episodes left until i’m done twin peaks. nuts. what am i going to do with my life after this?! i guess eat less donuts and watch fire walk with me. and finally catch up on netflix. and finish skins. i get such eyebrow envy every time i see audrey horne. i’ll probably watch the last two episodes tomorrow, which coincidentally is the 22nd anniversary of laura palmer’s death.
i laughed waaaay too hard at this part yesterday. the only way to enjoy twin peaks is with a donut in hand.
got up to episode fifteen last night. shit is getting real serious, and i’m way better at guessing outcomes than i thought i was. i received ‘the social network’ in the mail from netflix two days ago and i’d been wanting to watch it for awhile but i can’t pull myself away from ‘twin peaks.’ it feels like reading harry potter for the first time.
